WhatsApp is working on the ability to hide the online status

 

Good News is coming in a future update of WhatsApp beta for Android, iOS, and Desktop. 

Finally WhatsApp is listening to users feedback by developing a feature that lets us choose who can see when we are online on WhatsApp! After the new future update such as possiblity to delete any message in group if you're admin, the company is now working on the ability to hide the online status for a future update of the WhatsApp app!

As you can see in this old & New screenshot there is a new Option in new Screenshot Last Seen & Online  

There is also 2 new Option but the 1st one option is Old & the second is New WHO CAN SEE WHEN I'M ONLINE if you see the screenshot there is also 2 new Options

• Everyone

• Same as Last Seen

For example, if you choose “My contacts” for “Last Seen” and “Same as Last Seen” for “online”, it means non-contacts won’t be able to see when you’re online.
